We found that we also wanted a fully upgraded home with those upgrades included as “STANDARD” within the quoted price. We decided against advertising lowball prices then pressuring buyers to upgrade to make money. We wanted the homes to be priced fairly so the client could walk in and know exactly what they were getting. Our buyers had all been through the “decked out” model homes of the production builders. In the end, they would tell us they were presented with upgrade costs of $25,000 to $50,000 above the standard price depending on home size. We shook our heads when one client told us an extra can light, at a production builder, cost him $128 installed . . . the same light we charged $60 for at the time.

It wasn’t hard to find out where our advantage was. It became what we now call “The Finsand Advantage”. All of our buyers receive “The Advantage” when they build or buy one of our homes.
